Another air adventure

On his second transcontinental journey, Elliott is  more alert, even more flirty, and also more naughty.

Picture from our flight to JFK (posted onboard said flight, thanks Delta).

1. He sleeps!
2. Long baby is... long.
3 & 4. Research proves that food tastes worse in jet conditions.

Adventures in Eating - practicing the art of rejection

Tessa shot some video of Elliott's very visual ways of adapting to new flavors.  If he doesn't actually like something, he's pretty good about shutting his mouth... but you wouldn't know it from these glimpses.

  • He appreciates organic plum baby food like scotch: enthusiastically, but the taste itself is a little rough.

  • Maybe he has a career as a french food critic - if it isn't great, he doesn't swallow? He tries a couple of strategies here: smiles, laughter, kicking, screeching.  Ultimately effective.

Sleep remains a challenge

As of Saturday, at 7 months and a day, E decided he was a one-nap-a-day kind of baby. This has not been well received, and generally considered a bad idea by his parents.  Unfortunately, getting him to fall asleep after 7 hours awake requires even more heroics than his previous 3-4 hour increments.

We will make it through, somehow, but weare going back to the books...
